




Robert McCullagh, CFP, CLU, RHU
Robert started his career in the financial services industry with the Royal Bank over 20 years ago.
He joined Prudential of England as a life agent in 1989, where he developed the skills of financial planning
and built a clientele for the next ten years. In 1999 Robert became an independent broker with Benefit
Planners and has a successful practice of business owners and clients.
Robert began teaching the CFP at Mount Royal College in 1997, later teaching the CFP for the University
of Calgary. In 2003 he developed, and began teaching, an introductory course to Financial Planning,
that is offered to the public through Mount Royal College.
Industry involvement is very important to Robert who has held several positions within the local Calgary
Chapter of Advocis since 1992, including being President in 2004. Robert is a current member of the
TFAAC Board of Directors and is responsible for working with the four regional schools. He is a past
chair of the Banff School and remains on the organizing team.
